Chorizo & Manchego Montadito
A bite of Spain on bread
A montadito — Spain's answer to the open-faced sandwich — layered with thin-sliced chorizo ibérico, aged manchego, and a strip of piquillo pepper on toasted bread. Three Iberico Club products on a two-bite toast. Serve at room temperature with toothpicks. This is the tapa that disappears first at every party and the one people ask you to make again.
Ingredients
- Finest Artisanal Chorizo Ibérico de Bellota | 1.1lb
- Unique Artisanal Manchego Cheese “Gran Reserva” Dehesa de los Llanos 8.8 Ounces
- Gourmet Fire Roasted Piquillo Peppers from Lodosa. Jar (10-16 pieces)
Preparation
- Slice chorizo thin, about 2mm.
- Toast small bread rounds, one side.
- Layer chorizo and thin manchego.
- Add piquillo strip on top.
